I will be brief in this obligatory first post, since I expect to spew a lot more words onto the screen in the near future.

I am The Bride. I think like many brides, I am simultaneously drawn to and repulsed by the wedding industry. My internal wedding-planning dialogue goes something like this: “Man, that’s ugly/stupid/useless, why would I want that? But oh, look at this! Oooh, pretty! Holy crap, it’s $67,458!! Why didn’t we elope again? But oh, look at that! Yaaaaaay wedding!!”

This dialogue will continue until The Big Day (and probably for some time after), but less internally and more…right here, cloaked in the safety of anonymity. Hope you’ll come along for the ride.
